The UTSW Kidney Cancer Program is excited to partner with the Kidney Cancer Association (KCA) to host a Kidney Cancer Animal Model Workshop from Thursday, September 11 to Saturday, September 13, 2025. This event will feature distinguished speakers from institutions across the globe and highlights UTSW’s important contributions to the development of animal models in kidney cancer research.
We are especially honored to welcome keynote presentations from:
• Andrea Ballabio, recipient of the 2025 Beth Levine, M.D. Prize in Autophagy Research
• Bruce Beutler, Nobel Laureate, member of the NAS and NAM
• Richard Flavell, HHMI investigator, fellow of the Royal Society, member of the NAS and NAM
• William Kaelin, Nobel Laureate, HHMI investigator, member of the NAS and NAM
All UTSW faculty, trainees, and staff are welcome to attend. However, we ask that people only register if they are certain they will attend, as space is limited and we need to provide the KCA with an accurate headcount for planning purposes.
